In February of this year, Evoke hosted the Occasions Caterers Account Executive team in Lisbon, Portugal. We treated the team to an experience of local food, wine, and history to spark creativity and indulge in new flavors. See below the itinerary for our Occasions experience in Portugal.
Lisbon, Portugal Itinerary
The guests were greeted to the new country with welcome boxes curated full of local favorites delivered to the guests’ rooms. After settling in, the team collected in the host hotel, Le Consulat, for a cheese and charcuterie experience. We then loaded on to tuk tuk’s for a tour of Lisbon city center. The tour ended in Castel where the guests enjoyed a wine tasting followed by dinner at Ramiro.
Day 2 was a trip to the “City of Discoveries” where we explored the Monastery of Jeronimos and the Tower of Belem. Here, the guests enjoyed a custard tasting at Belem gardens, in addition to lunch at Mercado da Ribeira.
Day 3 began with an excursion to Setubal for oyster farming. The Occasions team were able to get in the water to farm oysters near the bank. We learned the proper technique to open oysters from the experts and enjoyed a tasting with sparkling wine on spot. After that, the guests were shuttled to a restaurant on the beach where the Branco Prata team taught a styling session. This photographer florist duo assisted in styling the perfect flatly using items in your environment.
In short, this trip was extra special for the Evoke team, as our President Jeannette Tavares is originally from Portugal. She is a pro tour guide and expert of the country, having planned numerous weddings across Portugal. Above all, the Occasions Caterers experience in Portugal was a wonderful trip to experience our favorite place with some of our favorite people.
