With spring and summer right around the corner, we are throwing it back to this gender neutral baby shower we planned last year. This intimate, backyard baby shower featured a gender neutral rainbow color scheme, fun activities, and yummy treats. We are so ready to plan your next outdoor affair.
With covid in full force, Katie and Allie opted to celebrate in their backyard. This way guests could be spread out and outside to reduce risk of spreading. With only a few guests in attendance, and one server on site, we were mindful of the pandemic and our clients safety.
We had custom masks created in rainbow colors and patterns. This bar cart was setup right as guests entered the backyard.
For a fun, interactive activity we set-up a onesie making station. Guests could choose from a variety of onesie colors and decorate with fabric markers and iron on patches as a gift to Katie & Allie. We especially loved this design as a nod to the current state of quarantine.
The iron on patches were a huge hit. Ranging from dogs to letters to food – there was quite a variety to select from.
Katie and Allie opted to not find out the sex of the baby. We wanted to keep the baby shower gender neutral and went for a rainbow theme of desserts. After lunch we set up dessert stations for guests to enjoy rainbow rice krispy treats, rainbow cupcakes, cookies and meringues.
We decorated their home with baby books, rubber ducks, and beautiful boxes. Katie and Allie were able to re-purpose the boxes to pack up the gifts and onesies they received at the end of the party.
